This is why we only do business with qualified suppliers that meet key performance criteria. Conflict Free Sourcing Policy
APSM Systems Conflict Free Sourcing Policy
Regarding Section 1502 of the U.S. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, publicly held companies are required to disclose their sources of “Conflict Minerals”. The Conflict Minerals referenced within this legislation are Tin, Tungsten, Tantalum and Gold. The focus of the law is to prevent conflict minerals originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and surrounding regions from being introduced into the supply chain of products produced by Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulated companies. Profits from the mining and sale of these conflict minerals are known to have been used to fund armed groups within the DRC and surrounding regions to control mining operations through the use of extreme violence. APSM Systems, as a contract manufacturer and supplier to several publicly held companies, has developed a Conflict Minerals Free Sourcing Program.
In support of the Conflict Free Sourcing initiative, APSM Systems requires each of its electronics related suppliers to maintain their own Conflict Minerals program, which requires due diligence in identifying the source of conflict minerals contained within the product or materials supplied to APSM Systems.
APSM Systems will receive and maintain verification from our suppliers regarding the origins of any conflict minerals used in the manufacture of supplied products to customers under this rule.
